Before opening my calendar fully, I felt the Lord leading me to begin differently—not by filling my schedule, but by serving a small group of families who believe in the heart behind Joie Studios.
Photography has never been just about beautiful images to me.
It's about preserving the quiet, ordinary moments that become a family's legacy. The sleepy cuddles after dinner. Tiny hands reaching for yours. Wind in your daughter's curls. The way your son laughs when he's wrapped in his father's arms. These are the moments that deserve to be remembered long after childhood has passed.
The Founding Families is my invitation to seven families who value presence over perfection, genuine connection over posed portraits, and heirloom artwork over photographs that live only on a screen.
This isn't a giveaway.
It's the beginning of something I hope will serve families for generations.
As one of the Founding Families, you'll receive the complete Joie Studios experience—from thoughtful planning and wardrobe guidance to a relaxed storytelling session and timeless artwork—while helping shape the future of this studio through your story, your encouragement, and your trust.
In place of a traditional package fee, these seven sessions are offered on a pay-what-you-can basis. At the conclusion of your experience, you'll be invited to contribute whatever amount feels meaningful and financially possible for your family. Your participation is an investment in the vision of Joie Studios and helps create opportunities for more families to be served in the years to come.
More than anything, I'm looking for families who love deeply, embrace the beauty of everyday life, and want to preserve this season exactly as it is.

As mothers, we spend so much of our lives pouring ourselves out in unseen ways:

I created Joie Studios because I believe motherhood deserves to be honored and remembered — not in a performative or polished way, but truthfully.

Meet the artist
Hiiii, I'm Meg.
I've been documenting weddings for the last five years.
Then I became a mom.
At that moment, I knew my heart forever changed.
Eight months later I looked back at the few hospital pics my mom snagged of us with our newborn baby girl and my eyes started to water at those documented memories I know I'd have forever.
So I had to switch it up and become a motherhood documentary photographer so all moms can feel what I felt. Because these are moments we'll remember forever as moms deep in our hearts even if the visual memory starts to fade, why not have the photographs to look back on to feel that moment all over again because when we look at a photo it all comes back to us deep in our bones.
